More Bay Area homes are selling above asking. Here's where it happens the most.

“The market has shifted so quickly that pricing models built on recent sales are coming in too low… That is not ‘price to entice.’ That is the market outrunning everyone’s expectations.” — Arrian Binnings

In a recent SF Chronicle article, Arrian weighs in on how homes are once again selling above asking. In February, San Francisco homes sold for nearly 10% above asking on average—roughly $150,000 over on a $1.5M home.

How long will this last?

As Arrian notes, the market could cool just as quickly as it warmed—“it could be a blip.”
