Sometimes the delta between what you expect and what you get is massive.
ㅤ
A couple of weeks ago, I traveled to NYC for the Christie's International Real Estate conference. The difference between what I expected and what I actually got was the starkest I can remember.
* Workshops about how to effectively farm a zip code
* How to create catchy social media campaigns that have a good call to action
* How to fortify your position in the luxury real estate market
* How to connect with others on a deeply soul level
* How to get the most out of life by dedicating yourself to service and giving
* How to build unbreakable bonds with other human beings in a world where technology has compromised our social fabric
* How to bounce back when you get beaten down
ㅤ
Nearly the entire conference was filled with philosophical content — content that makes you wonder about what it really means to be human and how to be of service in the world. This was one of the most refreshing and engaging events I have been to of any kind. Incredible bonds were made and memories formed.
ㅤ
Hat’s off to the organizers for taking the vibe this direction, and for the philosophy nerds like myself — we just ate it all up.
ㅤ
Can't wait to see what next year's conference brings!
